The Post Graduate Diploma Programme
The Post-graduate Diploma Programme in Poverty Analysis is a part-time one-year programme of international standard with specific emphasis on imparting investigative skills and capabilities for Applied Policy Analysis. Its substantive focus concerns the (interdisciplinary) study of issues of Poverty, Vulnerability and Social Protection. Its explicit emphasis is on teaching the practiceof research for policy analysis. The programme is policy-oriented, skills-intensive and interdisciplinary in nature.

The Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programme is jointly delivered and managed by the three institutions: Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF), Research on Poverty Alleviation (REPOA) and Institute of Social Studies (ISS) based in The Hague, The Netherlands, whereas ISS is the postgraduate diploma awarding institution. The diploma has also been approved by the Higher Education Accreditation Council of Tanzania.
